Venus Flytrap

This morning I read about the Venus Flytrap. It's a plant that eats flies and bugs. It grabs hold of a bug. The fly touches the trigger hair and then it closes. It takes 2 weeks to eat the bug.

ANZAC Day Report

ANZAC Day is a sad day when we remember the soldiers that died in 1915 in Gallipoli.

The 25th April every year marks the anniversary of the landing of New Zealand and Australian soldiers in Gallipoli. ANZAC Day was first commemorated in 1916.

On ANZAC Day, everyone wears the poppies to remember the people who died or who will serve and everyone has a Public Holiday.

This year New Zealand marked the 100th Gallipoli Anniversary.

They lower the flag to half mast in remembrance and place wreaths at the bottom of the flag pole.

We are quiet while the last post is played at the ANZAC Dawn Service because it is the sign of respect for the soldiers who died in the war.

The ANZAC Cookies are related to ANZAC Day and it is crunchy then it tastes good.

The original ANZAC Cookies was not sweet. It was a savoury biscuit (also known as an ANZAC Tile). The soldiers had these instead of bread.

I think ANZAC Day was a sad day and that it is an important day. We must always remember the soldiers that died in 1915.

Bhutan breaks Guinness World Record for tree planting

Bhutan has broken the tree planting record.

They planted 49,672 trees in ONE hour.

Bhutan has 75% forest cover.

They planted because they wanted a clean and green future.

Bhutan is in-between India and China.

They only had TV and Internet 10 years ago.

Autumn Thoughts

I am looking out of my windows and I see leaves on the ground.

They dropped off the branches like a hair off a brushed DOG.

The evening branches look like a background of the ANZAC WAR painting.

I think it’s too cold to sit down outside. Someone has to take the outside chairs and bring them in.

If we are too cold, we need to keep the windows closed and it’s getting colder and it’s time for a delicious hot chocolate.

Dear Mum,

I have landed into Gallipoli into WAR.  The ship is from New Zealand to Gallipoli. I didn’t feel seasick.

The Turkish Soldiers were SHOOTING it sounded like in a DEATH NIGHTMARE!

I haven’t done any wrong. I don’t want to die.

I crouch down in the trench now I am not frightened and the trenches smell like SMOKE and DUST.

I am looking forward to coming home and I am missing you all and the meals you cook at home.

Onerahi Skateboard Park Relaunch (Paulie's Favourite Edition)

In the re-launched of the Onerahi Skateboard Park, lots of people are there and Konnor is in the front of the Skateboard Park holding his scooter. They will do the Ollie into Ultimate Ollie 64 and a 360 backflip.

There is the jump, the wall and the dark trees in the park. There is another area in the playground park where the swings and things are.

The construction for the Skateboard Park at Onerahi was started in March 2015. It was completed in April 2015.

The New Onerahi Skateboard Park is beside New World on the left and New World is beside the Skateboard Park on the right. The Onerahi School is related to 2 similar multi parks.

I can go to the Onerahi Skateboard Park via the future Northern Motorway 1010.

ANZAC Feelings Letter 2015 (Paulie's Favourite Edition)

Dear Family from Northland, Auckland and Hamilton, Waikato,

I am in the hidden trench and feeling sad and I am missing my family from every location. I know that I am feeling not good which means I can’t see anything forever (a bomb will explode in my FACE!!!!) when I am feeling wasted means the 12 hour trenches will explode with the bombshell.

I want to help my several friends to find someone to take them to hospital. WARNING! I DON’T WANT HIM TO DIE!

I am ANGRY with this shooting gun. I need to go back to my batch.

The resort at Waiwera, Auckland is known as The Waiwera Thermal Resort.

The slide is 500m long. The two boys jumped on the slide fast and they were splattered by the Extensive Warp Speed Water Slide. As the boys went down the water slide they smiled with delight and they enjoyed it. The slide with the Plummet effect is momentarily big while they are on it. The Hydro-Slide style of Going Down with 1000m lands underwater. Someone else at the side of the pool can see the water spraying up itself and it was happy and magical. At the end of the slide, they will swim out of the pool to go and dry themselves up.

Auckland Waiwera Hot Pools Resort

The slide will also be 500 meters. The 2 boys we're Splattered by the Warp Speed Water Slide. The water slide is down and longer with the Plummet effect. The hot pools can also be used with the Hydro-Slide version of Going Down with Thousand Meters. Someone else can see the water spraying up itself and it was happy and magical. At the end of the slide, we will swim and out of the pool if we are going to dry ourselves up.

ANZAC Art with Black Soldiers

The ANZAC art is used for the Black Soldiers and Poppies then the red and orange dye is used for the evening background and the black crayons are used for the Black Soldiers.

Rowena finally helped me with lots of backgrounds for ANZAC arts. We made a cross and painted it Black-Blue which is inverted. Sooner it will be ANZAC Day 2015.

The Fun Fair

The fun fair view has a big centre. The colourful lights are made out of glow stones. I have a drink of vanilla coke. I eat popcorn, hot chips, ice-cream and chololate. The ferris wheel is a normal speed. The windmill looks like a gigantic fan made from the cold creek. Shrieks 4 times louder than normal. The food tasted like sweet, sugar coated, pink clouds on a stick. Hot chips taste like crunchy, delicious, cooked potaotes. I go on lots of rides. It is fun. I am really, really sleepy.

The new Road Works for the whole street views and the refurbishment of the corner of Bank Street and Cameron Street which is called the Road Works Corner Refurbishment Ultimateparison.

Wilson Avenue to Fourth Avenue from State Highway 1 Quadparison

The construction set for Wilson Avenue to Fourth Avenue will be relaunched when it's done in this quadparison building. Will the grand oak at the Fourth Avenue be spared? Or will it end into the truck.

30 Years of Pauliex in the Future

After 30 years of Pauliex, he became one of the future friends inside the big house and inside the emerald driving seat in the car. The age of him is the 150 year old adult sized men. He was invisible in 1864. He turned himself in a human in 1985 and stays as himself for the rest of his life. In 2007, Pauliex was 143 years old and he did not do some work. In 2014 and 2015, Pauliex and his friend are getting ready to work on the new Harbour Bridge.

Roadworks and Carl's Jr. for Whangarei

State Highway 14 will be relaunched in May 2014 and Carl's Jr. will be in the old Pizza Hut Whangarei building. NOTE: Old car parks are closed in Bank Street during the construction of the old Pizza Hut Whangarei building.
